Feeding the Hungry

As the Christmas season approaches everyone gets that desire to help others and bring peace and comfort to those around them. For this act, I am truly grateful! This is a part of what makes this season so special. But, what happens the rest of the year? Does that peace and comfort begin to fade when all of your loved ones go home, or when the newness of the gifts wear off, or when all that good Christmas cooking is gone? Or were you able to even feel anything at all. Some people living very close to you never get the feeling of peace or comfort all year long. Your next door neighbor may be running low on money, or need clothes that they can't afford, or worst even yet is maybe starving. This is a feeling that never should exist for anyone. Not just at Christmas time, but any time. The Christian faith has no room for such feelings. We, the people of this world are responsible for each other. No matter how rich or how poor, rather you know them or you don't. Nor, does it matter where they live. The Bible tells us plainly to help others, and the Golden Rule says, Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Our mission here is to do just that.
As we did last year, we will again be working with Stop Hunger Now to raise money for, and package as many meals as we can. Last year we packaged around 30,000 meals for starving children around the world. This year we hope for twice as much. Please, look into your hearts and consider helping us keep the feelings of hopelessness away from 30,000-60,000 children next year.

Thank You!
